One year after beginning it had claimed two million dead
September 11 is often remembered as the day the World Trade Center's buildings were felled, horrifically and sadly, killing thousands, but by this day one hundred years ago as was reported in Scientific American in 1915 "two million people had been killed in the fighting in the Great War, four million wounded, and tens of thousands had lost limbs." Lest we forget.
